Planning an engagement party
After you accept the proposal, you will be able to arrange an engagement party for your lady. Go to Party Center > Organize A Party.
Planning an engagement party is very money and time consuming, it will be easier if you have diamonds and a lot of luck! I suggest you to follow thru this page and budgeting your party, and saving emeralds and energy pack refills before starting.
1. Hire a Party Planner
In order to complete the tasks/missions to prepare your party, you'll need to hire a party planner. She will guide you thru all steps as long as she is still hired and when the time runs out, you will have to hire her again. Don't worry, you won't lose the progress you made and continue where you left.
20 Emeralds = 1 Week
35 Emeralds = 2 weeks
65 Emeralds = 4 weeks
I rent her for 4 weeks, and then 2 more weeks and 1 more week. I spent 120 ems.
2. Rent a Place
You will have to rent a place for your party. The bigger the place is, the more guest you can have and the more expensive it costs.
Once you rent a place, you will always be able to UPGRADE it to bigger one.
100 Emeralds = 10 Guests
150 Emeralds = 20 Guests
300 Emeralds = 50 Guests
100 Diamonds = UNLIMITED guests
I rent the place for 50 guests with 300 ems. It's unbelievably expensive but I don't have much diamonds as I never buy them and I know a lot of nice lady in the game I'd like to invite. 50 seats aren't even enough for me.
3. Pick the Engagement Ring
In this task, you will help your fiance find you the perfect engagement ring. This task will only cost you dollars.There is 100 squares to be opened, you will get what is behind it, it can be the Gem, Emeralds, Popularity Bonuses, or Dollars. The goal is to find 5 hiding gems in those squares. You have one free try everyday, but you can buy more magnifiers to open a square.
1000$ = 1 magnifier
9000$ = 10 magnifiers
16000$ = 20 magnifiers
30000$ = 50 magnifiers
I buy the pack of 10 magnifiers, 50 magnifiers, and 2 packs of 20 magnifiers = 71,000 $ and get 300 fashion points ohhh, I should've just bought 2 packs of 50 magnifiers instead. :( I finished this task in one day.
4. Rent 30 Decorations
You will rent min 30 items decoration/furniture in this step to use in your engagement party. The item will cost either diamonds or emeralds (nothing can be bought with dollars). These decoration can be used ONLY at party, you can't use them in your apartment. Although you will keep the fashion points. Though, since it's for rent, not for sale, so if you want to go for fashion points, this is the best place, because things are far cheaper than the regular store and even cheaper than those that we can buy/earn during events. Here is the cost to fashion points ratio:
2.5 fashion points per 1 emerald and 6 fashion points per 1 diamond
Now let's compare the benefit-cost ratio of say an item in furniture shop
0.6 fashion point per 1 emerald
I spent 1,240 ems and get 3020 fashion points for 32 items.
5. Decorate the place with 30 items
This is the place you have rent, it's just like a new room in your apartment. You will have to add min 30 decoration you rent from previous task. Your lady, the fiance, pets or cars don't count. You can only use the items you rent from the store (you can't use the one you have in your apartment). You can always go back to the shop to rent more decorations. Save the room then move on to next task.
6. Hire Musicians
There are 6 type of musicians to hire. You will have to hire at least one of them. It's all abut luck, you pick the one you like and click SEARCH. If it matches, you will get notification window says you successfully hire them. If you're not lucky enough, you can try search again with 10 diamonds or wait for new free try the next day. When you at least hire one musicians, you can go to new task. While doing the next task, you still can try to get more musicians using diamonds or daily free try.
I spent nothing, got one at first try. While I move on to new tasks, I still tried to get more musicians and I managed to get all 6 the musicians in the end. Once you select the musician, you can not change it or try to get another one until you successfully get what you've selected.
7. Hire a Photographer
There are 3 photographers you can choose. Pick one, hire them for 100 emeralds/diamonds.And then help them find the equipment. They need 5 equipment and if you're really lucky, you will not need to spend any money. To find an equipment, you will need to play a game like 3x3 board game from game events. You will get 3 free try every time the board is reset, the next 2 try cost 5 emeralds/diamonds, the rest costs 5 diamonds. The board will reset every 12 hours, though you can reset it immediately with 10 diamonds.
I spent 65 ems and I stuck here for 5 days. Once you select the photographer, you can not change it or try to get another one until you successfully get what you've selected.
8. Order Drinks
There are 3 drinks table you can choose. Pick one for free. And then you need to order 3 kind of equipment (depends on the drink table you order), you will need to order 20 pcs of those 3 item. In order to search them, you need to do something like Photo Sessions, it's just that the result probability in % won't show. You can use booster too (not same exact boosters you can buy at VIP shop, but they work pretty much the same; decrease time and increase possibility), and they cost a lot of dollars.
I choose Punch, spent 50,000 $ and I finish this task in 2 days. This mission actually could be done with 38,000 $ by buying pack of 50 and 10 for each one. Move forward doing the next mission while I'm still trying to get Wine and then Cocktails (yes, I get 3 of them all). I spent @19,000 $ for 2nd and 3rd table, I only bought the % boosters. So the total amount of money I spent on drinks is 43,000 $. The boosters you buy is not cumulative, if you have few boosters left when you successfully finish the task and want to try get another drink table, you will lose the left over booster and it resets to 0 for both boosters once you select your next drink table. Once you select the drink, you can not change it or try to get another one until you successfully get what you've selected.
9. Order Food
There are 3 food table you can choose. Pick one for free. And then you need to collect all the ingredients needed, you will need to collect 75 pcs of 15 ingredients needed. In order to collect them, you need to do something like Fashion Machine (in Carnival). You can buy joker and mini joker to increase the possibility (it's not the exact same joker/minijoker you usually buy from carnival, but they work pretty much the same)), and they cost emeralds/diamonds.
I choose Cocktail bites, spent 18,600 $ and 187 energy for the spin and 42 ems for the jokers, I finish this task in 21 days. This task is very time consuming for a player with no diamonds like me because we need to make 75 combination to get all ingredients and restart the board and spin at the 12th cost diamond(s). The time run out and I needed to re-hire the planner for 2 weeks. Once you select the food, you can not change it or try to get another one until you successfully get what you've selected.

10. Get an Outfit For Your Fiance
This task require you to buy him at least 10 item. This store only available until your engagement party starts, so be wise. The item in this store costs emeralds or diamonds only, nothing can be bought with dollars. You can keep the clothes and the fashion points.
I bought 12 items, spent 648 ems and get 1616 fashion points.
11. Get an Outfit For Your Lady
This task require you to buy at least 10 item. This store only available until your engagement party starts, so be wise. The item in this store costs emeralds or diamonds only, nothing can be bought with dollars. You can keep the clothes and the fashion points.
I bought 10 items, spent 543 ems and get 1376 fashion points.

12. Write your Toast
The speech you have prepared will be shown during the party, so all of your guests will have the chance to read it. If you want to edit something, you can do it now, before the engagement party starts. Character limit is 500.
My toast: Guests, family and friends; I am delighted that you found the time to join us today as we celebrate our love. Being surrounded by you all has made such a difference to us and we have been overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity. 💕

13. Write your Fiance's Toast
Your fiance's speech will be shown during the party, so all of your guests will have the chance to read it. If you want to edit something, you can do it now, before the engagement party starts.

14. Visit Barber Shop
In this task, you need to unlock at least 3 celebrity items for your fiance. This store will be closed when your engagement party starts. Now it's your only chance to buy everything you like from it. All celebrity items you have purchased will be added to your fiance's beauty salon and remain there even after the party ends.
I bought 3 items, spent 392 ems. The items I bought is in red circle below:
15. Visit Beauty Salon
In this task, you need to unlock at least 3 celebrity items for your lady. This store will be closed when your engagement party starts. Now it's your only chance to buy everything you like from it. All celebrity items you have purchased will be added to your fiance's beauty salon and remain there even after the party ends.
I bought 3 items, spent 928 ems. The face features are extremely expensive, but I don't have diamond so I had to buy one to finish the task, I keep telling myself the smile is pretty but deep down inside my heart I know it's not worth 499 ems! The items I bought is in red circle below:
I run out emeralds and can't earn enough those before the planner expired, so I to re-hire the planner for another 1 week (a week before my party started).
16. Register For Gifts
When your engagement party starts all your guests will have a chance to buy you a present. They will be able to select presents only from your wishlist. Look at all the gifts available in the gift shop and select the ones you like most. You can add one gift for each of the guests you can invite. If you want to invite more guests and add more gifts, you have to go back to the first step and rent a bigger place. You can't see the item's price in this wishlist. Add at least 10 items to your wishlist, crossed your fingers hope they'll buy most of them!
Note: You can come back to the store, remove and add gifts as many times as you want until your party starts.
My wish list item mostly cost diamonds because I already bought many items with emeralds and I won't have chance to buy one that costs diamond when I attend someone's party. I know gifts cost emeralds will likely be given but, again, I just cross my fingers.

17. Create Invitations
Select the background you like, write your own text and create the perfect invitations to send to your guests.

18. Choose The Time
Select an appropriate date and hour for your party. Note that its duration will be 8 hours. Once you select the date and time, they cannot be changed, so make sure this time will fit for your guests and for yourself more importantly.
I pick the time: 2017-10-07 13:00 server time, which is Saturday Afternoon for me and for my maid of honor. You'll be surprised how many and fast the ladies in this game will PM you, congrats you and ask for invitation as soon as you finished this task.
19. Invite guests
Invite all ladies you want to come to your party. When someone accepts your invitation, she will appear on your guest's list. Only the ladies that accepted your invitation before the party starts will have access to it. You need the party planner to send invitations out, so if she's about to expired, you better invite all your guest quickly, or you'll need to re-hire her again.

20. Additional
This is not mandatory but I find it really helps:
a. making rules
You can make rules for your guests, like: how to do missions, dress code, language, etc. You can write them in your bio, so it's easy to check.

b. prepare outfits
If you and your fiance will wear more than 1 outfit each, it's better to save them so you can change easier during the party. If you have bridesmaid or if you're in a club, you might as well want to take a group picture with them with a theme or same color, you can inform them before the party starts and ask them to prepare the outfit. My party's theme are Formal In Gold and Rock Concert, so here's my examples:
